ATHENS - After a giant recruiting weekend in Athens, sources say the Georgia Bulldogs continue to trend in the right direction for one of the state’s top defensive back prospects.
That would be Douglas County (GA) safety, Adryan Cole.
One of the top overall players in the Atlanta area, Cole is a sure-tackling defender who covers a lot of ground down the field. He’s quick, aggressive, and brings easy size at about 6-foot-1 190-pounds.
Cole is being recruited hard by several SEC schools, but it’s clear the in-state Bulldogs have some momentum after a successful visit during “Scavenger Hunt” weekend. A big reason why is because of his relationship with safeties coach Travaris Robinson.
“Coach T-Rob is real genuine and easy to talk to. You can tell he really cares about his players on and off the field and not just football. He keeps it honest with me and makes me feel like a priority every time I’m there.”

According to FanDuel, the Arizona Wildcats have +1900 odds to win the national championship next year.
“His pitch about Georgia is really about development and competing at the highest level. He talks a lot about preparing guys for the next level while also being around great people and a winning culture. You can see why so many defensive backs succeed there with the coaching and standard they have.”
When you turn on the tape it doesn’t take long to understand why the Georgia staff has been recruiting him for so long. He shows good instincts in coverage, reading the quarterback and closing quickly on the receiver. He has a nose for the football, can blitz from the outside, and can make plays in multiple different ways. Whether he’s covering down the field or playing in the box, Cole has a knack for making plays and making his way to the ball-carrier.
As a junior last season, Cole made 69 tackles, two TFLs, one INT and several more pass-breakups. He’s ranked as the No. 16 safety and the No. 191 overall prospect in the country.
